The Public Engagement Framework

The Public Engagement Framework sets out how the council will consult with the public. This involves finding out the public’s opinions, views and observations on a range of council issues.

The framework has three broad aims. These are:

  1. To stimulate public interest in the council’s democratic processes
  2. To encourage local people to influence decisions on the future quality of life in the area
  3. To ensure that services are designed, planned and delivered to exceed the expectations of those for whom they are intended
